HRV – GENIAL EINFACH!

Mehr als eine Software – eine starke Beziehung zum Patienten.

Scientific claims & quality assurance

The basic prerequisite for a functioning VNS analysis is the exact detection of the RR signal via chest wall lead or ECG, as well as software that can present the complex mathematical algorithms required for the calculation in a graphically understandable way. Especially for short-term measurement, the consideration of the correct HRV parameters is enormously important, because the frequency-based HRV parameters (spectral analysis) such as TP and VLF are physiologically unstable and are not recommended by the Task Force for short-term measurement.

The VNS analysis is the result of ten years of basic research by one of the most renowned German HRV experts.
The VNS analysis takes into account the standard values from the most important reference studies worldwide. It provides therapists and patients with a unique, clear and easy-to-understand presentation that maps the most relevant VNS parameters and is not limited to heart rate variability.

In our white paper we have documented the scientific quality assurance of the VNS analysis for you.

The complete white paper is available for download.

Although the system meets the very highest scientific standards, no expensive training courses are required to interpret the measurement results.
The raw signal of the measurement can also be further processed in the reference software (Kubios), which is most important for the field of study and research.

A precise and automatic correction function, eliminates the need for cumbersome manual post-correction of artifacts or extrasystoles. A decisive difference to other products is also the consideration of the so-called non-linear parameters. It has been shown that the complexity of the control circuits of the autonomic nervous system can only be incompletely captured with the previous parameters. For this reason, a precise VNS analysis requires additional parameters that take into account not only the temporal sequence and quantity, but also the signal quality, and can thus also assess the interaction of the individual autonomic control circuits with the help of complex mathematical algorithms (alpha 1 or DFA 1 value).

Another advantage is the easy integration of the measurement into the practice software and the immediate transmission of the result to the patient via the integrated mail function. In addition, if you have any questions, measurement results can be sent directly to support, which will provide you with immediate answers.
The breathing therapy integrated in the system with different breathing rhythms offers the therapist the possibility of a quick and uncomplicated therapy of the autonomic imbalance. The special breathing timing stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system and makes existing reserves in the patient’s body visible quickly and easily.

The VNS Analysis combines the advantages of a scientific analysis device with the user-friendly, practice-oriented and easy-to-interpret display of a modern tablet computer, which can be very easily integrated into everyday practice and offers therapist and patient the best possible benefit.

Scientific basis

To avoid misinterpretation of the various parameters, guidelines were established in 1996 for the performance and interpretation of VNS analyses (HRV measurements) by the:

  • Task Force of the European Society of Cardiology
  • North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology
